CSC Leeds Summer Tournament

On 16th July, CSC hosted its annual Leeds Summer Tournament, bringing together over 30 young chess players for a day of fun, competitive chess. Our thanks to Allerton Primary School for hosting this celebration of chess, which offered students the chance to put their skills to the test in a friendly environment.

The children displayed impressive levels of skill and focus, showing just how much they have progressed through their school chess programs. The CSC furry mascots also made an appearance, much to the delight of the children. Teacher and local chess player Ben van Loo expressed his enthusiasm: “Thanks so much for your help organising it – hopefully we can make this an annual thing with other schools coming along!”

The tournament was a great success, with plans to grow the event in the coming years.
