CSC has been proud to support annual ‘Queen’s Gambit’ tournaments for the Bellevue Place Education Trust since 2022 and this year’s event took place on Wednesday 12th March.

CSC was delighted to return to the Guildhall to run the 6th City of London Schools’ Chess Tournament.

Grandmaster Gawain Jones had a spectacular tournament, clinching his first title at the XTX Markets London Chess Classic, held at Arsenal FC's Emirates Stadium.

The LCC’s school events are always a highlight of the event and this year was no exception.

On Monday, 25th November, from 4pm to 5pm, CSC will host an online qualifying event on Lichess for the English Chess Federation’s National Schools Chess Championships.

Vidit Gujrathi from India today confirmed his participation in our tournament in four weeks’ time.

On Saturday, 19th October, the sixth tournament of the CSC Junior Grand Prix took place at South Hampstead High School.

The tournament will be held on Saturday 19th October 2024 at South Hampstead High School, London.

On 16th July, CSC hosted its annual Leeds Summer Tournament, bringing together over 30 young chess players for a day of fun, competitive chess.

Over 300 children took part in CSC's annual Merseyside Primary Schools Chess Tournament held in the splendid setting of St George's Hall, Liverpool.

The CSC Newham Schools' Chess Tournament took place in June 2024 in the grand setting of Stratford Old Town Hall.
