Fourth Annual BPET Schools Chess Tournament held in Reading and London

CSC has been proud to support annual ‘Queen’s Gambit’ tournaments for the Bellevue Place Education Trust since 2022 and this year’s event took place on Wednesday 12th March.

The day saw BPET schools host simultaneous tournaments for their hubs in London and Berkshire. In Reading, Rivermead Primary School welcomed Evendons and Whiteknights Primary School; and in London, Kilburn Grange Primary School welcomed Dollis Primary School, Watling Park School and Whitehall Park School. In total 56 children took part in a great afternoon of tense and thrilling competition.

After a morning of training sessions from CSC tutors, the players were ready to compete. The tournament ran smoothly with all students impressing staff with their enthusiasm, skill and sportsmanship.

Congratulations to all involved and thanks to Kilburn Grange and Rivermead Primary School for hosting. Thanks also go to BPET for their continued support.
